Someone have better confess to tinkering with the scale soon because this is one sick joke.
I’ve never been one to fluctuate much with my weight, so even at a normal time this is unusual. I usually weigh myself at work one a week so I’m pretty ontop of these things…except since last Thursday I’ve apparently gained 8 lbs.
This is with me watching what I eat, not snacking after dinner, and doing a boat load of yard work for the past two weeks in addition too my usual routine. I haven’t been trying to actively loose weight per-se, just be a fitter version of myself for the big day.
What is even more messed up…I’ve actually lost inches on my hips…but gained in my belly. And No I’m not prego 100% sure.
I’ve been stressed at work over the past few weeks…stress=belly fat.
I look forward to being a bowling ball on my wedding day…really.
Ok ok, so I am being a bit dramatic….I’m sure its just a fluke and by next week we’ll be all in order.
That’s my rant!

Everyone loses weight in different areas at different rates. When I’m working out, I lose in my stomach first and my hips and thighs almost never! It does sould like you might be losing some fat and gaining some muscle mass though which could account for some of the weight gain.

Sounds like it could be bloating. What’s your salt intake like? You could try cutting back on salt and high-sodium foods and see if that helps.

Bloating….or maybe gaining muscle? Gaining muscle is actually a good thing my doctor told me. Because then your body has to work (even when it’s sedentary) to keep the muscle there, which means more calories and fat burned.

I agree with the bloating vote! It would be damn near impossible to gain 8 pounds in 5 days. You would have had to eat an extra 5,600 calories every day to make that happen! I would weigh yourself after your next period.

Can I really bloat 8lbs?! I don’t usually bloat before my period…so I would have no idea how this worked.
I wore different pants than normal. Lets blame the pants.

If you’re close to AF, it could be because of that. We tend to bloat up just before. One time I magically gained 9lbs 3 days before AF. It did disappear after. I wouldn’t worry about it. As long as you’re eating healthy and exercising, you’re doing it all right.
