Our ceremony starts at 4pm on a Saturday. I haven’t figured out the whole "day of" timeline, but I know my photographer is arriving at 2:30pm and I’ll be basically ready other than the dress at that time. I think that will give us ample time to prepare. But ooooh, noon is early!

Our wedding was at 5:30, but I had to get to the salon by 8 am for hair and makeup.  Mr. Bee and I took pictures around the city beforehand, and got to the venue by 3:30 for a rehearsal.  We were running a little late, but everything worked out fine in the end.

I think the time for hair depends on how many stylists you have. If you have four stylists, it shouldn’t be a problem! I definately agree with doing nails the day before. Keep the "to do" list as short as possible for the day of!

My ceremony starts at 2, and I have myself plus 6 girls to get makeup and hair done. The makeup artist said she will start around 7:30 and take 30-45 mins per person. I’m still not sure how long the hair will take. I know it will take about an hour for me, and hopefully a lot less for everyone else! I am having one main stylist and another to help get everyone’s ‘do started (flat iron/curl etc).

My BM’s haven’t asked for a pro and I’m not asking their hair to be in any specific way.  We have access to the venue at 5 and the ceremony is at 6:30.  the hair make up people said it shouldn’t be a problem (to do my hair/make up in 1 hour) and hopefully it won’t be!

Our ceremony is on a Saturday at 1:00, so we’ll be getting up pretty early to start getting ready.  We’ll probably get to the salon by 8:30 or 9:00, then take some pictures before the ceremony.  I definitely recommend doing your nails the day before to save time!

My ceremony is going to be at 2:30 pm about 10 minutes (less, really) from my parents’ house where I’ll get ready. I figure I’ll have to get ready by about 9 or 10 am at the latest, maybe earlier if my bridesmaids want to get hair/make-up done with the same people.  My best friend got married in February and the wedding was at either 2 or 3 pm and we were in the hair place for 7:30 am…yikes!  But it was necessary with everyone who wanted to get hair done.  Her makeup artist came to her parents’ house to do the bridal party make up….

I’m stressing about this topic – Our church and hotel are right next to each other – Right now we have the ceremony starting at 5:00 and cocktails at 6:30. Everyone is from out of town (even us), so I thought this would be convenient without a large time gap and no travel in between.

Now I’m stressing because that leaves us no time for pictures! I’m considering pushing the ceremony up to 4:00 or 4:30 (it will take about 30 mins). That will allow us a good 1.5 hours to run around the city and take cool pix. FYI – we refuse to see each other before the ceremony, my photog already tried with that approach.

But then I’m stressing, because will the guests hate the gap? There are a lot of gap haters out there! Also, even though we are getting married on a Saturday, I"m afraid people will skip the cermony to allow time to travel and check into the hotel. Should I not worry about that? I think its’ so rude to do that by the way.

It’s still in the planning!

Ceremony at 2:30pm

Reception hopefully for 5pm or so. We want to go to the Biodome (kind of like a zoo) to take our pictures.

we want our "kiss" to be at sunset, so we’re having the ceremony start at about 6pm!
