Opinions aside, calories are calories. If you didnt eat all day and then ate your 1500 calories (appx of a typical defecit) for dinner you would lose weight. This is science.
It is best to eat protein right before bed as it is the slowest enzyme to digest and your body is fueled all night so you dont have to wake up starving.
There are a lot of old wives tails, and it all depends on your body when is the best time to consume your calories, not because of the time of day but because of your habits.
For me, I am hungriest between 2-5 pm. If I try and eat big breakfast and big dinner, then I end up snacking all afternoon because my body is in its “hungry time”. If I eat a small breakfast, 2 medium lunches, and a small dinner I stay within my calories and do not over indulge.
