6:30-7 ish? Depends on how long it takes to cook and I get home at 6. If DH is working later, I might wait until a little later.

On the weekend, if DH isn’t working, we eat earlier, probably closer to 5:30.

Weekdays the goal is to eat sometime in the six o’clock hour, but more often it’s seven by the time dinner is ready and on the table.  Weekends, it depends what we’re doing, eating by 7 is the goal and if we’re eating at home that happens, but if we’re going out to eat it’s 8-9pm.

socalgirl1689 :  most nights I’ll eat ‘first dinner’ around 5:45ish, and ‘second dinner’ around 7:45/8pm.

If we’re going out for dinner, we try to go around 6:30 or 7.

mrsginger :  Haha, interesting! I can kind of relate; I’ve alwys been an after-school snacker and I’m a teacher so nothing’s changed  😉 What sorts of things do you typically eat for each dinner? Is one much lighter, and if so which? If you don’t mind :p

MrsSnowMountain :  Well, let me preface by saying my trainer makes my meal plan, so I eat what’s on the plan…but I’ve been with her for over a year and I’ve always had first dinner and second dinner (and did so before I knew her too).

First dinner is typically what you’d consider a traditional meal. Right now, it’s salmon and green beans. Last month it was steak and broccoli (favorite!).

Second dinner usually ends up being a protein/healthy fat combo and is a little lighter–right now it’s 3 eggs, which I usually scramble and sprinkle on a little ranch seasoning and some hot sauce. Mmmm. 🙂 Last month was a protein shake and 1oz of almonds if I remember correctly.

I like having the second meal a little later, because I workout super early and prefer to do so on basically an empty stomach, but having that late snack/light dinner gives me a little energy so I’m not famished.

Used to be around 7pm (get home at 6/630, prep and cook).  Now it’s around 8pm (get home around 6, do a homework out for about 60-70 minutes, then cook.  I do all the prep on the weekends now to save time).  Weekends its around 7pm.

We’re all over the place! It depends on what time we’re home from work, what we’re cooking, etc. Usually we’re sitting down between 6:30 and 7 on an easy day.

we prep on the weekends so meals are just grab and heatup.

dinner times vary.  we try to eat together but sometimes i get home from work or working out and am starving and DH doesn’t get home until 7, then i will eat without him.

so dinner ranges from 5:30 to 7:30.  same for weekends, everything just depends on our schedule.

I eat dinner around 8. If I eat too early I wake up hungry in the middle of the night!

Depends on how traffic was that night!

If I’m cooking it’s usually around 7:30 on weeknights and 6:30 on weekends. If he is cooking it’s usually around 8.

Usually about 5:30.  I get home from work between 4:45 and 5, and I’m hungry right away.  I would rather work out before dinner, but I’m always too hungry, so we eat early and then work out.
