Honestly, I think if you start at 6:30 or 7, it would be nice to serve dinner. If you don’t want to serve dinner (totally understood if not!), I’d have the ceremony start later and just serve dessert, OR start earlier and just serve appetizers.

I’ve been to two evening weddings like this. One started at 5:30 and one started at 7:30. The 7:30 one seemed to be a much better time to have a wedding without dinner.

@mc82:  Ceremony at 3:30 or 4, then appetizers/reception/dance from 4/4:30 – 7:30 or 8….maybe?

Hey fellow August 2013 bee!

We are doing EXACTLY this!! Ceremony is starting at 7pm and then at 7:30, we’ll have apps and finger foods to go with dancing. We’re also having our pictures done beforehand (with the exception of a few with family after the ceremony).

I think it’s great and I am so excited to see out it turns out for both of us!

@mc82:  I have to tell you, I LOVE the idea of a lemonade stand! My Fiance is just short of obsessed with lemonade and he jumped up and said “OMG we should do that!!!!” Haha so funny. And the canoe is fantastic too! Where in the world are you getting it?
