Tomorrow we are having our first photographer “meeting” (via skype). They’ve already sent us full coverage of a few weddings and we love their work. But I’m not really sure what we should be asking them, (we already know their prices). I would love any suggestion on must ask questions. Or if there are things you wish you discussed with your photographer before you hired them PLEASE let me know.
and just because I know everyone loves pictures, here are examples of their work.

Of course, price, but in addition make sure you ask about small details. How many pictures you can expect, how many hours of service, ask if you can make a priority list (pictures of groom watching you walk down the aisle, etc), if they can not charge for travel (or discount), what they expect from you. Basically what I learned, make sure you let THEM know what you expect as far as pictures go, and hopefully they can do their best to meet your needs. Also having 2 photographers as opposed to 1 will help meet your needs a lot better! Good luck!

ask them how long it will take to get the pictures back and how many edited prints you get.

Make sure you are getting more than one photographer. If all payment is due up front. I negotiated so that some of my money isn’t due until I get a finished product. Do you own the rights to your photos? will you get a disk? will they set up a site for people to order products? can they set up a foto booth for you (if you want one)
