Cocktail meatballs or some other meatballs are always popular.

What about mini pizzas?

Casseroles travel well – what about shepards pie or pot pie? Or a baked pasta dish? (Lasagna, stuffed manicotti, baked rigatoni, etc.)

If you can carry it in a crockpot, omething I’ve brought before that was a hit are turkey rollups – roll deli turkey slices around a spoonfull of stuffing, and layer the rolls with gravy in the crockpot. Really easy and total comfort food!

@LadyBear:  good ideas.

I also second making something in a crockpot or at least transferring it to it so you can heat it up and keep it hot for people.

I like the meatball idea. Instead of traditional you could try buffalo-style, tandoori, greek with feta, chinese orange glazed

Or make some pulled pork or chicken Bring in either rolls or tortillas and condiments like BBQ sauce or salsa and sour cream

You could also do a quiche and make it savory with goat cheese, asparagus and chicken sausage

Or do a tortallini and pesto and chicken dish. Hearty can can be served hot or cold (can also serve from the crockpot if transferred there hot and keep the setting on low)

@ThreeMeers:  Quiche is a great idea.

Something that would be okay cold/room temp – veggie & cheese quesadillas, with sour cream for topping/dipping.

A girl at work always brought jalapeno poppers wrapped in bacon. Very hot but also very addictive.

I usually bring quiche! Pasta salad is usually a hit, or maybe chicken salad and some small rolls.

I agree that crock pot is the way to go.  We’ve made meatballs, mashed potatoes, pulled pork, mushrooms, dessert in the crock pot.  Also go on pinterest and look up pizza balls.  They are amazing!  Meatballs with some cheese wrapped in a biscuit and served with a little marinera.  Easy portions, easy assembly, crowd pleaser!

Agree with crockpot – for an entree-ish meal, maybe pulled pork (as suggested), italian beef, buffalo chicken etc., something you can buy a pack of buns and just mke bulk sandwiches?
