I brought nothing except an entourage of like 10 women all armed with phone cameras and opinions, lol. Seriously though, you could bring a strapless bra, but I feel like there’s not much point in bringing special undergarments, etc., because almost any good dress will have cups and boning and the like built in.

I wore a nude strapless bra (another color would probably work if you don’t have a nude one), which I think is a pretty good choice as it is easier to look back at photos of you in the dresses without bra straps in the way.

I’m not completely sure what shoes I will be wearing yet, but I know I will be wearing some sort of heel, so I wore some platform wedges, probably kind of similar to what I will end up choosing.

I didn’t wear shoes for any part of my appointments, I was barefoot after the first dress each time. I guess the only reason the shoes might make a difference is if you’re planning to wear very, very tall shoes and that would put you in between ordering the regular vs. long dress from the manufacturer.  I did wear a nude strapless bra and nude spanx and that worked very well for all dresses I tried on. The consultants will definitely see you in your skivvies and your undergarments- especially the back of your bra- will show on some dresses so just be prepared to be comfortable with that. Nobody cares 🙂

I’d definitely bring a good strapless bra or bustier (and maybe even a few).  I’ve heard stories about some bridal shops “making” you wear one of theirs, which may not fit you as comfortably as own you’ve chosen.  (Probably they’re trying to push sales of their stock lingerie!).

Definitely bring a strapless bra. Sometimes they give you a slip to wear. Shoes aren’t really necessary until your first fitting.

I didn’t wear shoes while I was trying on dresses. I went dress shopping in december, it was cold and snowy. I wore boots that day and just took them off and tried on dress barefoot.

I also just wore regular underwear. I didn’t even wear a strapless bra (because I hate them). At some shops I took the bra off, at others I just tried the dresses on with my bra on and ignored the bright pink bra straps.

Basically, I didn’t bring anything special to my dress shopping appointments.

I brought nude spanx, heels the same height I expect to wear at my wedding, and a strapless nude bra. To be honest a lot of times I tried on the dresses without a bra (especially open backs).

Bring shoes if you are going to wear any type of heels. Your posture will be totally different and it will alter the look of the dress, imo.

I didn’t wear shoes or a bra during any of my appointments, as I am planning on wearing flats and most dresses have boning and cups built in. I did wear a nude thong though which was helpful if you are trying on tight fitting dresses!

I didn’t bring anything except the girls I invited. I didn’t need a bra for any dresses I tried and ended up having cups sewn in anyways. I just wore nice looking underwear since everyone got to see it the whole time lol. I knew what height shoes I would be wearing but t didn’t make a difference because for my height I needed extra length in any dress I would order anyways, so it was a better visual to NOT wear shoes with the dresses I tried on. If you want to wear Spanx and a strapless bra, definitely bring them!!
