I’m calling mine the sign-bearer. That’s what she’s doing, after all, so it makes the most sense to me ๐Ÿ™‚

I would probably be silly and call her herald of the bride. ๐Ÿ™‚

I agree with previous posters – “sign bearer” or “banner bearer.”  I recently attended a wedding where the ring bearer carried the rings on an heirloom family Bible, and he was listed as “Bible bearer;” one of the sweetest things I’ve ever seen at a ceremony.

@hyperJulie: I actually really, really like Herald – much better than Sign-Bearer. @TogetherThroughLife: is right, it sounds kind of stark, heh.

@HeyKaraoke:  I just always really liked the world herald. Not something you typically get to work into every conversation. I’m glad people like the suggestion! ๐Ÿ™‚

I have a 5 year old boy carrying the sign, I listed him in the program as Sign Ninja. His sister, who is 2 is just walking, and she is the “Ninja Supervisor”.
