My primary wedding colour is this purple. I describe it as a warm medium wine-plum (lol). It is not David’s Bridal sangria though close, kind of close to “wild berry”, and it fits the bill for plum in some places. On J Crew it is exactly spiced wine, but my girls seem unenthuasiastic about the Arabelle dress (which I adore)
Any advice for what I should call this colour, and where I can get a dress under $100 in it?

I’d call it purple… but again, I am almost a guy about this stuff haha.

Plum. But I go for the simpler the name the better.

@AnaA: Hahahaha this made me laugh. When I think plain purple, I think Barney-coloured

@BrookeBQ: I would call Barney fucsia! Purple for me is more like Tinky Winky.
Maybe if they had a kid, it would be Plum…

I’d call it plum too. When I think purple I think the shade they use in GLBT flags

OK thanks ladies, I am agreeing with plum, maybe thinking aubergine too.
Now any good places with this colour of dress you know of? 🙂

plum, eggplant, or aubergine

I would also call this plum

I find plum can sometimes skew too red. I’d refer to it as eggplant/aubergene

At first glance I’d call that Plum or Aubergine…
But I then went to the source for colour… Pantone
That looks a lot like Phlox # 19-2820
If not that then certainly something nearby… like Sparkling Grape.
Hope this helps,
