I call mine by her first name. She has never asked me to call her anything but, although she does sign cards to me ‘mom’. At first I found it weird, but ultimately she can sign a card how she likes. I respectfully call her by her first name. I already have a mom and would feel weird calling anyone else mom. But you do you! Whatever you feel is best!

I call mine by her first name, and my husband calls mine by hers too. I am also a believer of “I just have one mom/dad”, and I don’t think my in-laws are bothered by it 🙂

My fiancé has a step-mom as well as his mom. I dont call either of them mom because they arent my mom. He isn’t even close to them either so they dont get call mom by him either lol.

I agree that I have only one mum. Dh’s mum passed before we met, but I would call her by her first name if she were here, just as he calls my mum by her first name.

Call my in laws by their first names. My FH calls my mom by her first name with the occasional usage of “Mum”. When he refers to her to me, he calls her Mum too. I think that’s because he calls his “Mom”, so they are two different words and I don’t ever say “my” mum. He calls my dad what my siblings and I call him which is similar to Dad, but not. He thought this was my dads name for a long time lol. It doesn’t sound like dad/pop/etc.

I call her Mrs. First name. I think it’s a southern thing, but I address pretty much any woman older than me as Ms. So and so.

I call my in-laws Mom and Dad, and my husband calls my parents mom and dad. When I call my own parents Mom and Dad, those are their names to me. When I call my in-laws Mom and Dad, i think of that being more of their title.
