We’re about 10 months from the wedding, but I am getting anxious to start doing things! We booked the venue a long time ago, and I feel like I haven’t done anything since. What kind of projects can I start this far in advance?

@nandmwedding: I don’t know about projects specifically, but it’s not too early to start booking vendors. Photos, music, video, flowers, etc. … Hope that’s helpful.

dress ! photos, music. where we got our cake and flowers done we could wait awhile. we did our invites so we also could wait on that. theme or colors so you get an idea for centerpieces and Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses if you are doing that.

Start going to floral shops having bridal consultations. They book early where I’m from. I’ve already been to two. I have found my dj, photographer. Just found my dress this week. It takes four months for dress to get back. I’ve narrowed to three bridesmaid dresses. I have beentake one cake tasting already. Ihave my venue and reception space. I am already checking on rental prices for tablecloths, and I have reached out for caterer. I’ve only been engagetethered weeks

Have you checked the list from the knot. It might help some.
You can do a much or as little as you want to do 10 months out. Since you already have your venue, I assume you might already have a color scheme. Did you ask your bridal party yet? Have you looked at ideas for invitations? Are you sending STDs? Also, you can start on some DIY projects now if you’d like just to get them out the way.

@bridalprincess: that list was great for me! I also looked in a book that I bought… it was a bit more detailed.
I did a TON of things “earlier” than the “norm”. I just didn’t want a ton of stress all at the last minute. It also helped with budgetting for things.
If you’re planning to DIY anything- you can start gathering the supplies. Start looking for deals if you’re on a budget. I did everything so early— there are very few things I didn’t buy on sale.
