Are the bills going to be able to continue to get paid without your paycheck? If they are, then I would pay the rest on the dress. If they aren’t, I would hold the money for bills.

I would settle any debt you have to your dress, so all your money is free and clear to be spent on what you need.

First of all, sorry you lost your job 🙁

Personally, I would pay a little bit on the dress at a time. You owe a small amount on the dress, but it’s always nice to have that extra bit of cushion. I would hate for you to pay the $145 now when you didn’t HAVE to and then have something unexpected come up next week and regret it. That’s just me though, I’m a worry wart 🙂

I agree that you should hold off on it for now.  If you don’t need to pay it off now, that money could come in handy for something unexpected that needs paid right away.

And sorry about your job.  I’m in the same boat right now, I’m just using all my free time to plan my wedding.  It’s a good time filler.

I agree with Bella. Consider paying a portion now and then a portion again in a few weeks…just in case anything comes up. You have enough time and wouldn’t be starting your alterations right away.  You can call the bridal shop and let them know that you’d like to break the remainder down into 2-3 payments. They should be okay with that.
