I think you are fine as of now… Just ceremony and venue spot would be a year out and you are already done with those.

@LunaFleurLavender:  Hi! I’m having the same feelings as you, that I should be doing things but don’t know where to start. So far, we have booked the venues, I have asked my bridesmaids, and I think I’ve found some music for the ceremony.  That’s it. This weekend I am asking a close friend to play the organ for me.

I’ve been putting wedding planning on hold for a while, while I take exams, but I finish in June and then I have a few weeks off in between courses in which I hope to get lots done! I’m planning to get the caterer, florist, photographer, DJ and hair/makeup booked, to go dress shopping with my mum, to send out save the dates and to have a go at making a cake topper. After that, I don’t know.

@LunaFleurLavender:  Cool that you have most of your planning locked up.  FI and I are still debating over venue (backyard vs. hall) and a part of me wants to book our DJ.

In the meantime, I’m going to try to lose the weight.  There’s also an e-session this summer so I can send out the STD in time for the holidays.

I think you are good for now. You are ahead of me…haven’t even looked at suits.

If you really want to do something you could start thinking about food items. My fiance loves food so he is choosing what we eat for the wedding.

We have been engaged since April 20th…. I am a bit of an organized, planning freak. We have booked venue, photographer, hair/makeup, DJ and officiant so far. I also purchased my dress yesterday. Up next is flowers & transportation/hotels.

Then I am hoping I can relax for almost the whole year until my wedding! We will just have fun things to do – invites, save the dates, engagement photos, etc. I would also like to start working out on a regular basis and lose some weight (purchasing a beautiful gown really will motivate you!).

@LunaFleurLavender:  sounds like the biggest thing you can do now if you want to is figure out what photographer you want.  but just make sure you look at all the options and really go with the one you’ll want (too many bees end up losing money when they need to break contracts).  you can also get hotel (if you need that) and website set up if you have time
