- Wedding: October 2017
We’ve decided on a Friday City Hall wedding (with close family and friends) and because the local City Hall closes at noon, our ceremony will end at 11:30am and then we’ll all go to lunch until 4ish. The restaurant only holds 50 people (which is fine bc we want it small) but I don’t want to hurt extended friends (and family) by not celebrating with them at all! We don’t have an option for a backyard party. Is it rude to have a post-lunch bar/cocktail celebration at a bar somewhere and invite them to that? I’m just not sure how to do this where it’s fun and inclusive for all who really care about us, and not a typical “wedding” (a traditional wedding isn’t for us.) Assuming this would be fine with most so they don’t have to take a Friday full-day off from work.
