Fiance and i are going to Atlanta tomorrow for our anniversary. We need help on ideas on what to do. Aquarium is out bc we’ve both been there several times. Any fun ideas for during the day?? What clubs are good for at night?? Thank you!

When I lived there 5 years ago I loved going to the High Museaum of Art, catching a show at the Fox Theatre, the Murder Mystery Dinner & Theater (across the street from the fox but only playing some nights), the newer Atlantic city area (by ikea) has a ton of shopping/restaurants/movie theaters as well, take a hike up stone mountain or ride the ducks (both water & dirt vehicle) or the river ferry (also has a great golf course if ya’ll like that as well as a really nice restaurant)… There’s an artsy film theater by Piedmont park that shows alot of sundance & indie films that usually don’t make it to the commercial theaters (Landmark Midtown Art Cinema’s), hit up the Botanical Gardens (they do have a good bit indoors & lots of art/sculptures).
I don’t know much about clubs, I always went out for specific shows/bands rather than going out for the heck of it. But I’ve always liked Tavern on the Green (at Piedmont Park), masquerade, the W Rooftop bar, The Highlander… If you wanna have a good laugh and end your night with a bang hit up the Clermont Lounge- I hear there (used to be) a 60+ year old stripper there that would crush beer cans with her tits for tips! Entertaining at the least!

You should go to the World of Coke Museum! It is so cool – you get to try coke products from around the world and you get a bottle of coke that was literally bottled as you watch. http://www.worldofcoca-cola.com/

@BeckyS0: great suggestions!
I’m probably too late for this but I lived in Atlanta for 4 years. I would extra recommend the Fox Theatre,it’s absolutely gorgeous and kind of makes me feel like I’m in the Disney movie Aladdin.
Piedmont park is great; have a picnic there. It’s near midtown. There are tons of restaurnts there such as Flying Saucer (for brunch) and a gay bar called Blakes (I’m not gay, but still tons of fun)
For great Korean food, I’d go to Buford highway.
For laughs Id recommend Dad’s Garage. My old professor still works there and they’re incredible for improv.
By the way, my favorite beer bar in teh world is in Little Five Points (which is a neat area by itself). It’s called The Porter and they serve tons of draft beer and have pretty creative fare for the area. I recommend it to everbody.
