Hawaii is a great honeymoon destination!  Activities run the gamut from the expected (USS Arizona Memorial & Pearl Harbor or just relaxing on Waikiki Beach) to extraordinary (a submarine ride or a day trip to the Big Island to see Volcanoes National Park).  Let us know if we can help you plan your trip-of-a-lifetime.

Oahu is so much fun!I went to visit friends, and we went to Waikiki only as a formality.

If you are the outdoorsy type, there are some amazing hiking trails on the island. I would recommend hiking to Maunawili Falls. It’s an easy hike, but super beautiful. I didn’t get around to hiking Diamondhead, but I feel that would be another easy but rewarding hike.

And since you have a car, I would definitely recommend heading up to the North Shore. It’s a completely different vibe than Honolulu. Very calm, very cool. You can get lunch at one of the awesome shrimp trucks and head over to Waimea Bay, which is totally beautiful and can have awesome waves depending on the time of year.

But don’t be afraid to go off the beaten path a little bit. I love Hawaii because it feels foreign and familiar at the same time.

Have fun!!

Diamondhead is definitely not an “easy” hike–there are even T-shirts that say “I survived Diamondhead!” I would highly recommend it though–such beautiful views from the top. For hiking, I’d also recommend Sacred Falls. Awesome waterfall at the end and you’re hiking amongst a lovely jungle complete with banana trees.

Other things I’d recommend: dinner/show at the Polynesian Cultural Center and snorkeling at Haunauma Bay.
