Should I approach her and say that I never received the gift?
I haven’t written my thank you note because I was waiting- but apparently they tried to deliver it on my honeymoon and obviously no one was home so they sent it back to Macys.

@accorn: I would want to know, so yes.

I just feel really awkward contacting her and being like…I never recieved your gift- it sounds so gift grabby.
But at the same time I know she already committed to buying these and giving them to me.

You should definitely contact her. She sent you the gift because she wants you to have it, so I’m sure she’d be disappointed to know you never actually got to enjoy your gift. When you call her, thank her for sending a gift and then explain what happened. Once you tell her the issue, I’m sure she’ll be able to get it straightened out with Macy’s.

I’d call her… lol, it could be a mix up somewhere in the pipe… either she thinks that the store made a mistake… or that you sent them back for some reason (returning them, not liking them, whatever… in which case SHE WOULD MOST LIKELY NEVER CALL YOU).
Calling her you can explain that the gift was delivered when you guys were on your Honeymoon… so you missed the package.
That is all you can do… then it is up to her.
Hope this helps,
