@razzlema: That makes sense, it seems like you’d want to do a good job for people you care aobut, right? And it also seems like she wasn’t acting very considerate at the reception which would hurt my feelings too.
It oculd be that you guys and she may have had different expectations for your pictures. My husband’s cousin did our engagments too. My husband had done minor retouching for him (light correcting, getting rid of dogs in the background) and we knew that the editing is a huge part of the time and work a photographer puts in. So, we actualy went over to his house after doing the engagments and did the retouching ourselves, after which he gave us the raw files so we could further retouch if we wanted to. It was ideal for me, because I want ALL the pictures, even though he took several shots of each pose, because I’m obsessed. We did the same thing (and planned to, as we’d previously decided) with the wedding pictures. After we got back from our honeymoon we went over, put all 2k pictures on our external drive and did the retouching ourselves. I love having every single picture, and since he was so generous doing our pictures in the first place we were happy to retouch them (he would have done them, and looked them over, but in the end didn’t want to make us wait during the busy season for which I am also very grateful).
Maybe your cousin had a similar idea (though it seems like she did some retouching so maybe not)? I’m actually a bit surprised since our cousin really wanted to make sure the pictures looked good before we put them up anywhere, since they reflect on his work for other clients.
