Hi Wedding Bees! So I would love for my older brother to be apart of my wedding day but can’t think of exactly what part. My fiance already has his group of groomsmen and can’t squeeze any more in but i want him to be more then just my brother that walks my mom or grandma down the aisle. Someone suggested to make him our officiant but he’s not exactly that kind of person, he’s a little more reserved and not exacly the most energetic. Help!
Besides groomsmen and bridesmaid’s, what other roles have you given your siblings on your big day?

Could he do a reading for you? Or play a song if he’s musically inclined? Act as an usher? These are just a few ideas 🙂

I have my little brother as the ring bearer. I really wanted him in my wedding, and he was my sisters ring bearer in her wedding, so he will know what he is doing.

Can he stand up on your side and be a bridesman? No reason it has to be all ladies if you guys are close. Or I second what Maisymay said about doing a reading for you during the ceremony…

How old is he?
How about an usher? or maybe he could do a reading or give a toast? My 16 year old bro is going to be an usher and he is inlcuded by wearing the same tux as everyone else 🙂

I feel dumb asking this, but what is an Usher???

Ushers typically seat people so that all the seats are filled/there aren’t gaps where there don’t need to be.
And I’m going to have my brother do a reading.
