does your e-ring have to be worn on your right hand on the day? could you not just leave your e-ring on your left hand and then swap your e-ring and wedding ring around after the ceremony?

you don’t wear it. Simple as that. Or you have him hold it and put it back on when you go to eat. let it be in his pocket…    how can this be a concern when there are so many options for someone else to hold the ring?

Yep, don’t wear it. He’ll be giving you jewellery all your life, fingers crossed! This is the day for your e ring and then wedding ring to shine.

I’d wear my engagement ring on the left finger and have your Fiance put your band on the same finger. You can switch them later.
Or, would it fit on another finger maybe?

If not, and you really can’t have your engagement ring on your left hand if they’re not a set, why not hide it somewhere with you? You could use a pin and attach it inside your dress, or tie it with the ribbon that ties your bouquet, or… you know, get creative!

I wore my grandmother’s daimond e-ring on my right hand with my High School class ring in front of it. I wanted to wear my grandmother’s ring on my wedding day, but it was too big so I just put my class ring in front of it to keep it from coming off.

I couldn’t wear my e-ring on my right hand for my wedding day. (see above paragraph) and it was just too small to go on that hand. I just had my husband put my band on in front of my e-ring and then I flipped it before we took our pictures.

Oh I’m wondering the same thing!!  The first “important” piece of jewelry Fiance bought me was a pink tourmaline claddagh ring and I just love it.  It’s so special to me, and I can’t imagine not wearing it on my wedding day.  But the only finger it fits on is my right ring finger.  After reading the posts above, I think I’ll have Fiance hold onto it before and during the ceremony, and then after I move my e-ring back to my left hand I’ll put my 3rd ring back on my right hand.. where it has been every day for the past 3 years.

Can you wear both your e-ring and spoon ring on your right hand for the ceremony (just until you can switch the e-ring onto your left hand)? If not, maybe leave the e-ring with the groom, and have him hold it until the ceremony and have him place both of the rings on your finger at the ceremony (instead of just the wedding band)?

I’m actually planning on having my Maid/Matron of Honor wear my e-ring until after the ceremony. Would that be an option for you?
