    I think the crystals are what makes that dress special, so it seems like a shame to cover them up.  Unless your dream has always been to be the ballgrown/princess bride, I’d say just leave the dress how it is.

    I would say the ballgown definitely does not go with the beach wedding idea.  I would stick with the more mermaid like skirt.

    I don’t like the first skirt. It doesn’t scream beach wedding. Youd probably be better off just wearing the dress like the second set of pictures.

    Your dress is gorgeous and you look amazing in it 🙂 I think the ballgown skirt would be gorgeous for the ceremony, even if its on the beach. Who says the beach cant be glamorous? 😉

    I don’t care for that dress, I think you could find something that looks much better, and I don’t think it goes with a beach wedding. I think getting something more mermaidish would probably go better, and maybe less sparkle. I just think about the fact that there will be sand and all these nooks and crannies where the sand can get stuck

    @MrsSl82be:

    She already bought the dress. I don’t think she can just go out and find something “better”.

    I personally love the dress, and love all the “bling”. Like another poster said, the crystals make the dress, and are part of the cost, so to me it would be a shame to remove them. For a beach wedding I would probably ixnay the ballgown completely, and keep the mermaid style. I might change the mermaid bottom to tulle in all one length, instead of the choppy layers it has now. Im on my phone so I cant post pics, but if you goog Kenneth Poole “Embrace”…thats the type of tulle bottom I would favor. But the dress is def gorgeous as is!

    @Blondetourage: I understand that, but she also said she is starting to second guess her decision, and I was just giving my opinion

    @Blondetourage: She said she is second guessing her choice. Honestly, the dress immediately draws focus to one particular area. I don’t know if that was the look OP was going for but it’s a bit… much. JMHO. Anyway, I guess I’d go with the poofier skirt to balance it all out.

    I think the dress is amazing with both skirt options. I LOVE that you can just change the skirt and keep the amazing top. I wouldn’t worry about the dress being beachy or not, it’s your wedding and you can wear any fabulous dress you want.

    I think it’s a stunning dress and I agree with natbug21 … why can’t the beach be glamorous?  I think you picked a dress that isn’t shy, so dont’ worry about how appropriate either skirt is… just wear the look you love.  It’s a gorgeous gown and I love the tiers!  Do you have a pic with the ballgown skirt actually attached?

    Besides, I think there is something wonderfully romantic and artictic about formalwear in nature…You’ll look beautiful on the beach!

    @jjmomma: YES! I would also like to see if you have a pic with the skirt attatched!

    I actually think the ballgown skirt is my favorite part of the dress, so PLEASE don’t get rid of it!!

    @KatyElle: You’re totally right, the ballgown skirt balances everything out!
