Hi Bees 🙂
I’m looking for some great bridesmaids gifts for my girls. I have 7.
So far, I got them/ spent:
$40 Kate Spade “sailor’s knot” earrings (to wear the day of to help me tie the knot – couldn’t resist a cute gift w/ a great pun)
$25 robe from ETSY (they don’t say bridesmaid or anything, just cute robes)
$115 paying for hair services + tip (thought this was a more practical, helpful gift for them)
I would like to spend about $50-70 more. Does anyone have any unique suggestions? Gifts you loved receiving as a BM? Gifts you didn’t so much love receiving as a BM? I thought about getting them gifts unique to them for $70 but someone told me that could be dangerous lol because some people will want what others got and has potential for drama. I kind of like the idea, although it is seemingly more work to think about 7 individual gifts for 7 different girls. Any suggestions? Fabulous gift ideas? I want to be a bit more thoughtful in my last gift (s). Thanks so much for all and any suggestions!

Wow, that’s so sweet and generous of you! I am purchasing my BM’s their dresses and hair & makeup services onthe day of which will cost me approx $300/pp
I also gifted a rose gold bracelet with a bow to “help us tie the knot” when I asked them to be my Bridesmaid or Best Man. (so I love your Kate Spade knot ring idea!)
I was thinking about doing just robes as a gift on the day of for getting ready. Some floral silk ones – what did you order off etsy? Can you share a link?
I am thinking of adding maybe a necklace with their initial pendant or something of the like but would want to keep it under $50.

This is silly, but my engagement party is next week and as a thank you for helping my parents host the shindig, I’m getting my bridesmaids selfie sticks.
I asked two of them and they both loved it so I just ran with it.
I will obviously get them different gifts later but, maybe you can put something in your gift that is silly/fun.

- Wedding: July 2016 - The Burgundy Basin
I plan on giving each girl a journal with an entry in the beginning explaining how much their friendship has meant to me and specifically how each one had helped with the wedding and how much that meant to me. I’m also doing smilar to you for the rest of the gift, necklace, monogrammed robe, hair & makeup. :]

That’s very generous of you! I would be glad to post the robe link, here it is: https://www.etsy.com/listing/234053613/gray-bridesmaids-robes-kimono-crossover
. I went with this style because my wedding is in October and it was pretty fall-y looking. My girls have mismatched bridesmaids dresses so I thought having the same robes would be cute for pics. The robes are not silk though. Silk robes seem to be about $60-$80 per robe. As much as I wanted to get super cosy expensive robes, I wanted to leave room in the budget for other items. I only ordered the robes a week ago so I didn’t receive them yet.

Very cute! I loved the idea of “The Bridesmaids of Jenn’s Wedding” – similar to the Housewives show on Bravo, but went with robes instead. When googling pics, it looked nicer to have the girls in robes. Although I still love the idea lol. Do love the mimosa idea though. Found this on Pinterest, might do it with mimosas for the day of. but can’t decide what to do lol

I am trying to think of something different than I’m doing – did the hair, robe, tie-the-knot thing. But looking for something else too. What to do what to do.

I love those robes! Sooo cute! I know you said it could be dangerous getting everyone something different but I think if you’re looking to spend that much more, it’d be nice for something more personal. You’ve gotten them matching robes and earrings so I think the last “special gift” should be individualized. Why not just put a cute little note on the final gifts saying to open them in private so the girls can’t see what everyone else got.
I’m doing individual gifts too. I got them all matching jewelry and purses for the wedding plus flip flops to match their dresses in case they want to change out of their shoes during the reception. But on top of that, I got my Maid/Matron of Honor tickets to see Lion King on Broadway – $100/ticket (she’s been dying to see it for years). My Future Sister-In-Law I got a fitbit – $80. Other Bridesmaid or Best Man I’m giving her a 6 month subscription to Birchbox (or a similar beauty box, haven’t decided yet) and my last Bridesmaid or Best Man I’m giving a gift card to a spa
ETA: If you want to give everyone the same, how about the subscription to Birchbox like I’m doing? This way they get a nice little gift every month for however long you subscribe for. They get sample of beauty products and makeup and will think of you each time it arrives! I love the idea but I only have one Bridesmaid or Best Man who’s a real girlie-girl and into fashion/makeup/beauty

I purchased my girls each an item from coach, One a wristlet, one a clutch, one a wallet, and one a makeup bag. On sale each ws less than $70, I also got them each a set of pearl earings that I ordered online, and suprisingly came with a pearl pendant necklace (they can wear these the day of but do not have to), I am getting them eacha pair of flip flops for dancing in, and a white button up shirt with their anitials monogrammed on the pocket (but this is also a photo prop, bc how cute will that be?). Then I plan on finding cute picture frames, so I can give them a picture of me and each of them after the photos come back. Not sure if these will be getting ready photos in the shirts, or after we are all dressed up, I will just pick my favorites. Then I am writing them a peronal thank you note (letter :-)) that they can fit behind the photo in their fram and have forever, and can look back on. I have know each of my girls forever, my sister, cousin, bestie since 8th grade, and a childhood friend, who ended up marying one of my best friends, so we have stayed very close. I will also be getting them tumblers to drink out of the day of while we are getting ready, that I will bling out with rhinestones and will be the typical Bridesmais/MOH wedding prop.

That’s a great idea – looks like we are on the same page!
I really wanted to do something unique. So I’m glad you’re doing a similar thing. When my hair stylist said it was a terrible idea it kind of burst my bubble. I’m relieved and happy to see your ideas! I wanted to do something different, because they’re all different and like different things. It’s definitely a more difficult route to go down, but I think it’s sweet and thoughtful.
I actually love your makeup idea. I just checked on Sephora and they have those gift sets too for under $25/ $50. Love that idea! Some girls are more into lipstick, some more into mascara, so maybe I can go different there. Thanks for the support and great ideas!
