Ok I’m having a destination wedding but what do I get the bridesmaid and groomsmen as far as gifts? One friend said to pay for their hotel rooms, another said buy their outfits for the day and pay for hair/makeup/shoes and nails for the ladies and an activity for the gents. What are some of you brides paying for for your destination bridesmaids and groomsmen? I’m trying to stay with in a small budget. I have 5 bridesmaids and 7 groomsmen. Any help and suggestions will be appreciated.

Cover as many of their expenses as you can, and get them a small personal item as well. paying their hotel and a s,all jewelry item (not to be used for the wedding) would be good. You may be trying to stick to a small budget, but it’s not fair to save money by having a Destination Wedding (because the guest list is smaller) but end up making your loved ones pay more.

I’m having a Destination Wedding and I’m still trying to sort this out. I have no idea about groomsmen gifts (that’s FI’s job), but I have some ideas for the BMs.
First, I’m paying for all their hair & makeup for the wedding. Then I think I’m also going to get them cute pjs (I was thinking robes but I feel that’s been done a lot). So then I’m trying to think of one more thing. It’s probably going be a cute clutch or something because all my girls would like that. I’m giving more gifts than one typically would (we’ll have a big welcome bags for everyone and still trying to figure out our favors) but that’s because I feel extra grateful to them for dealing with this being a Destination Wedding.

I was thinking big welcome bags also, I think I’m paying for hair, makeup and day of stuff, all the food and drinks for the weekend and 2 activities. We are already giving them gas money for those who drive and airfare for those who fly.

I found some really nice beach bags at TJ MaXX for $7.99 and I plan on filling them with sunscreen, flip flops and a beach towel

We have 3 bridesmaids and 4-5 groomsman for our DW!
-Personalied Tote bags
-Paying for their dress (Made little paper dresses to go in their totes)
-Paying for their hair appointment (Including a little brush in their totes with a note saying something in regards for it being taken care of)
-Bought custom necklaces:
By no means do we have a large budget for our bridal party…but we figured since they are spending so much money to attend our wedding it is the least we can do! 🙂

I think you are doing a lot already.
Paying for travel to wedding.
Paying for hair & makeup the day of.
Paying for food & drinks all weekend.
Paying for 2 activities–what kind of activities are avaible where you are going?
One thought is to pay for one activity and use the money from the other to get each Bridesmaid or Best Man a gift they will use in their daily life. I’m not sure what to suggest on this one but something personal to each Bridesmaid or Best Man.
Honestlly, this is a lot more than I’ve ever received being a Bridesmaid or Best Man, so you are doing very well in my opinion.

Honestly I think you’re doing a ton already.. I’m doing passport holders that will also hold boarding passes, makeup bags with their names, jewelry, and paying for their hair and MAYBE doing a pedicure day the day before we leave.
And they’ll get welcome bags like everyone else but maybe a different bag. The bags will have hangover kits, Bubba kegs, maracas, rafts for floating, lggage tags, and little miscellaneous things..

they have a waterpark attached to the hotel, so a advanced water tix and lasertag. All the Bridesmaid or Best Man love it except one. Thanks so much for your opinion.mrsfry2015:
