It’s Italian traditon that at the wedding shower, the husband to be (me) brings a gift for the bride to be. Usually, its a bouquet of flowers, and a single rose to my mother, mother in law and bridesmaids. That’s all fine and dandy, but EVERYONE always brings flowers, i want to do something different.
Any ideas on something I can bring to my future wife (not lingerie)? Anything would help as I’m completely stummed 🙁

Does your wife have any special interests, for example I love to read and my Fiance for Valentine’s Day got me a first edition copy of my favorite book which was very special to me. Or you can get her jewlery which she could wear at the wedding (earrings etc) or maybe something more meaning full like maybe a scrapbook with pictures of you guys through out the years and little notes on each page abt why that particular memory is specia to you

I’ve never heard of that tradition before! It’s really sweet. I like PP’s idea of a scrapbook of meaningful moments, or if you’re looking to splurge you can secretly book a romantic weekend getaway for the two of you and give her a brochure or plane tickets or something on the day of the shower. When all else fails, though…jewelry.

Maybe a nice bottle of champagne? I feel like flowers and wine are traditionally on the same “level” of gift-giving (e.g. you can bring either as a hostess gift), even if they can have different connotations depending on the context.

The first thing that popped into my head was a bunch of balloons for her and a single one for your Future Mother-In-Law and the others! Goodluck with this, it sounds like such a cool tradition!

Yeah, it’s a bit hard to know without knowing her likes. But you can never go wrong with some good staples. Someone already said champagne, you could also do like chocolate covered strawberries, a candle with her favorite scent, a picture of you two in a custom romantic frame, or even like a little gift basket filled with her favorite candies.

I’d be super excited with an edible arrangement of chocolate covered fruit. It goes along with the flower sentiment, but it’s so much more fun.
