I would like to hang something cute on the doors to our church and the reception hall… I had considered wooden or flower letters a well as pomanders. However, we have already made about 40 pomanders and the thought of spending more money on more silk flowers, makes me ill.
What I am having trouble with is our church is more modern and there is a set of two double doors (four door handles) as well as a two sets of of double doors on their own (so two door handles each). The reception hall has a two sets of double doors (four handles). So letters are too much for sure…
Anyone have any cute, inexpensive ideas???? We’re also incorporating peacock feathers into our decor, so something with feathers would be cute too…

I like these moss covered letters. Seems like they wouldn’t be that terribly expensive to make and it’s not more silk flowers…

You could do the feather wreath really easily by wrapping feather boas around a wreath form then adding in a few peacock feathers , rather than insert every feather individually.

Glad you like the idea. I do this all the time for seasonal decor and parties. You just attach one end by sticking it into the wreath form-between the vines if you use a grapevine wreathm or pin it into a straw wreath form, the wind around. The whole thing will only take a couple of minutes.
You could use a heart shaped wreath also.
Another idea would be to use the same boas and glue them down onto a large heart shape that is cut in half. When the doors are closed the heart is complete, but splits in the middle so you can open the door.
