I’ve gotten my BMS thier main gifts, but then I think I will also include a mini emergency kit for each of them for the day of the wedding.
What do you suggest I include? I have found so many lists online for BRIDES Day Of Emergeny Kits- but I don’t thin EACH of my BMS needs a sewing kit, bottle of clear polish, etc. While I do want them to be able to use these after the day of, I’m also not trying to spend a ton of $$ on them. I want them to be cute, classy and functional–
So far, I am thinking:
Nail File
BandAids
Tylenol/Advil
Bobby Pins
Clear Lip Gloss
Safety Pins
Hair Binder(s)
Tampon(s)
Any other ideas?

One of the most useful things I had as a bride and as a bridesmaid a few months later was a mini-scissors. There’s ALWAYS stuff to cut… stray threads, those stupid dress hanger strips, price tags, etc.

Following for ideas!
@castaway83: funny you mention the mini scissors. I was a Bridesmaid or Best Man last year and I cut the straps off of all of our strapless dresses with a pair of kitchen scissors!! Mini ones would have come in handy

Travel sized deodorant? Other than that, I think you’ve got it covered (assuming you get some mini scissors).

OK- so DEFINITELY mini scissors- anyone know where to find decent one that won’t cost an arm and a leg? Or what if I got them each basic pink/girly swiss army’s? I always find the scissors on those to actually work- and in general they always come in handy!!

blotting papers
stain remover pen/wipes (i’m notorious for spilling things on myself)
a small lint roller (if their dresses are a darker color this could be really handy)
hand sanitizer
lotion
tissues
a mini bottle of hair spray
double stick tape
snacks (just in case pictures or whatever take longer than anticipated, they have something to munch on)

I’d add floss, kleenex, and a mini comb. some mints wouldn’t be a bad idea either.

@MrsEME:
I did something similar!
I included hand sanitizer, mini disposeable toothbrushes, tums, advil, altoids smalls, makeup remover wipes, shout wipes, tissues, lip gloss, mouthwash, deodorant, bobby pins, blotting papers, and blister block…
The items that were most used on my wedding day were hand sanitizer, tissues, altoids, blotting papers, snacks, liquor, and blister block.
I got RAVE reviews about the Blister Block!

I’m on my 4th Dirty Delete getting married and we did this the first couple of go-arounds and have decided it is really a waste of money to have a big kit like that. I went ALL out the first time around and we used none of it.
Think about it – when do you go somewhere and not have what you really need. Who uses blotting papers anyway?
This last wedding will be next Summer – I will toss some mini scissors, a Tide pen, and a mini sewing kit in case something needs a quick stitch, a travel size hairspray, and a few extra bobby pins. I trust each of those girls will have tampons with her if she needs them, will use her own deoderant and brush her teeth before the wedding (and carry some gum or mints in her purse like most of us do), and will a nail file in her purse.
This is one of those wedding industry inventions to get you to spend money. I fell for it a couple of times, but never will again. Save your money!

@hermom: Yeah—- see I’m more on the same page as you. I know that every one could use those long list of items at some point down the road— but I was literally thinking of things you might need that day.
When I was visiting venues, I got a little day-of kit. And while I’ll likely use it at some point- I was thinking- there is NO way I won’t have my OWN X, X, X etc….
But I’m also someone who is very particular about what deodorant I use, etc…….
We are also going to have a basket in the bathroom (for everyone)- that will have tampons (just in case- I’ve been caught without before!), Tide stain remover, maybe some hand wipes—-
So I just wanted the girls to have the extra essentials- the things they might not think of, and something a little cute from me!

@castaway83: ha! I made my BFF this monster of an emergency kit. Then on her wedding day all she really needed was scissors! I was so annoyed with myself for not thinking of it but thankfully the sewing kit I included had some decent ones.
