@chinton34:  I’ve never stayed there and have only ever been in Aruba once, for a day, but I think as far as toiletry items, just keep it simple.  You’re on an island, things will be laid back, so you probably won’t need much.  Don’t bother bringing soap, your hotel is guaranteed to have that, but if you have a certain shampoo/conditioner you use, then bring that along.  Also bring whatever makeup/products you use in everyday life.  On an all-inclusive, the only time you’re probably going to want to get dressed up at all is for dinner and nighttime activities, and even then it’s likely to be very casual.

summer dresses, bathing suits, coverup, under garments

workout clothes if you like to jog or use the fitness center

a nice dress if they have a more formal dinner one night.

don’t over think it.

I’ve not stayed at that hotel before but Aruba is really laid back so I would say keep it casual. I stayed in a bathing suit and cover up during the day and wore summer dresses at night.

If you are looking to venture out at night, across the street from the hotel’s front is a strip of shops and bars. I know you have an all inclusive package, but if you want a fun night of bar hopping look into the kuku kunuko bar tour. Also, my favorite restaurant on the island is Madame Janette’s. very romantic!

Never stayed there… but if they are all the same-ish.

Research your location to the nearest town. Find out how far and what you can get there and how to get there (shuttle or taxos) and how much it would cost.

Our taxi was 55 US dollars. I was way too tired to pack properly so I thought I would just buy everything when I get there. Turned out in-hotel shop was so expensive and didn’t really have much. I wanted to have a haircut but it was so expensive getting it from the resort. I didn’t bring many clothes as I thought I would buy some when we got there. Wasn’t worth going to the nearest town as apparently there was nothing there. The laundry was expensive, an underwera was $1.50, washing a dress was $6.00, etc. So I washed my own underwear! And I re-worn my dresses, wasn’t too bad just make sure you don’t spill anything. I was hoping to buy nice body scrub and lotion when I got there so I can pamper myself every night as the only time I’ll ever have time. Those plans were scuppered, those nice things were no where to be found. So just be prepared!
