hello bee’s, my wedding is in 9 short days! Woot! anyway, I have a tendency to over think EVERYTHING, so I want to make a list (thats what I do, I make TONS of lists) of what I need for my HM!
We will be going to Disneyworld for 3nights 4days. The airline has the 50 pound limit on the baggage so I am trying to limit things. Also, Fiance will probably share a suitcase with me (even though we got a nice set for the shower) as he doesnt want to pay $50 round trip for his bag when he could use mine!
Any advice on what to pack?

You’re not going overseas so you can just buy sunscreen/etc over there without worrying about an obscene makeup/premium. (We had to restock on sunscreen in Bora Bora and it was like 23 dollars for a small bottle!!) I say bring your essentials. You can always swing by a drugstore to get the heavy stuff like sunscreen/lotions/toothpaste. There are some great outlets in the Orlando area so save room in your luggage to go shopping!

@vickyness: yes but we wont have a way to get out of the parks, as we are flying down there

Dont forget you can take a carryon. If you roll, you can fit a ton of stuff so even if you are sharing one bag, you each get a carry on and personal item.
Comfortable shoes for walking, and layers that coordinate with your other pants/dresses so you can use the same sweater or jacket with multiple outfits.
Where on the plane your heaviest shoes, bulkiest sweatshirt and pack your quart plastic bag of liquids to carry on as they are also heavy.

Start checking the weather forecast – you’re getting close enough that you’ll have a good idea about the weather. Pack accordingly. Remember that evenings can be chilly, even if the days are hot.
Darling Husband & I often share a suitcase and don’t have issues with the 50 pound limit for short trips. (We usually end up filling the suitcase at about 40 pounds.)
Remember that jeans and shoes are heavy, so if you’re worried about “making weight” swap out a pair of jeans for a more light-weight pant and cut back a pair of shoes.
You’ll probably want to pack sneakers – you’ll be doing a lot of walking at the parks! Swimwear is up to you – October is generally pretty warm, and there’s always the hot tub for chilly evenings. Bring flip flops & a cover up of some sort if you plan to go to the pool! If you have any desire or plans to eat dinner in restaurants pack a dress that doesn’t wrinkle too badly and a pair of shoes that match. Have your Fiance pack kakhis and a button up shirt.
I wouldn’t want to buy toothpaste or sunscreen in the Disney area – there probably will be a decent mark up. Head over to WalMart and see if you can find your favorite brands in the travel/trial size packages,
And remember – pack you money, ID, medications (and a change of underwear) in your carry on. If your luggage misses your flight you’ll want the absolute essentials in your carry-on. (The airline will give you a bag of toiletries if your luggage is lost/late.)
If you get everything out and find it doesn’t all fit in your suitcase count the number of pants/shorts you’ve packed and the number of shirts. You only need one outfit per day plus a dressier evening option. You can pack extra accessories to change the look of the dressy option if you will be going out to dinner more than once.

@out4answers: If you are coming to Florida then no layers, just a light jacket or sweater. Comfy shoes is a def must and more than one pair would be best. Bring shorts and jeans because it can be really warm one day and the next day it may not be too warm enough to wear shorts. Sunglasses is another must as well as sunscreen. The last recommendation would be medication such Advil and any stomach relief meds just in case you feel aches or upset tummy. Have fun!

We are packing only clothing, hair brushes, and light things in our suitcase. We are going to california and plan on stopping at a drugstore or walmart to get all ‘liquid’ things like soap, shampoo, hairspray, etc. because they are so heavy.
Also, do you both get a carry on? You can fit quite a lot in there by way of clothes/makeup/etc.
Lucky you it is warm in Orlando right now, and will be until probably December, so no need to pack sweaters/bulky clothing. I don’t reccomment any flip flops, because then you have a problem with roller coasters!! Don’t forget your sunglasses!
Also – if you can get away from Disney, go to walmart IN Orlando. They have the same pricing as everywhere else!
