I have no idea what your reception will be like, but I saw on Pinterest someone took the middle board out of a picnic table, and replaced it with a trough-type thing, filled it with ice and put drinks in it. I thought it was so neat!!

Or what about a large galvanized tub filled with ice, they’re about $30 on Amazon.

@mvg120:  +1, I was thinking galvanized tubs too. Or, you could use 1/2 wine barrel planters. Then you could re-use them as garden planters if you have space. That could be a pretty nice way to remember your wedding day.

  • Chill and fill table.  Rental was $40 and about 80# ice.  Hole in center drains the melted ice into a bucket or bin.  Works and looks great.

@wonderfalk:  You can use any large container that holds ice and that you like the look of, keeping the theme of your wedding in mind. It’s  hard to suggest anything specific, not knowing anything about your wedding.

Keep in mind that you can also make slipcovers for coolers, kegs etc.
