(Closed) What to put in programs?

i dont think it matters that you’re not sure about your readings, if you’ll have them and all that yet.  i honestly just finished my final draft of my program last night, for a wedding in 1 month.  i’ll get them printed and whatever in the next week or two, but there’s no hurry, you’re not behind!  (one reason i just finished ours is my FH was dragging his feet about potentially having 2 best men.  ugh.  he finally decided and chose a second one, yesterday, 32 days before the wedding!)  anyway… we have a typical program from with an “activity” back.  i love the idea of something to do during those 10-15 mins of waiting pre-ceremony.  you could pick something like the astrology or custom make a madlib, crossword, wordsearch, whatever!  Good Luck!  (the trees, which no one but us is probably going to realize this, are an Ash (his sign) and an Oak (my sign).)  we’ll print these on cardstock, fold in half and adhere to a popsicle stick.  =D

@vagabondgirl – LOVE those programs a LOT! I wanted to do the tree thing (did you see it on martha stewart?) but dont have room in our programs!

On the front we have

“The Wedding Ceremony of

Clare Victoria

&

Noah Rosenberg

Then we have In Loving Memory Of….with people listed who we have lost (grandparents, uncles, etc)

On the back we have the Officiant, our parents, bridal party and then the order of everything. My wedding is sooner than yours and I JUST created the programs today! Now to print them! Dont worry about it – you will figure this out!

@clarebee – yes!  i totally got the idea from martha… but her’s was 2 pages, and too much for me!  so i googled celtic tree astrology, took out the parts of the descriptions that weren’t “positive” and wrote it up myself!  loved the idea!  and it goes perfectly with our theme… rustic.  our Save-The-Date Cards and invite suite were all with trees and faux bois.  yay!

@VagabondGurl: such an adorable idea!! I love that you personalized it and took out the “negatives” – dont need any of those at a wedding!!! Unfortunately this doesnt fit onto our programs 🙁 I am so sad! Maybe I could print up cards for the reception….they are just so cute and interesting!

I think you’d be fine with just the Wedding Party and the thank you on the back.

If it were a longer ceremony, I would appreciate having the ceremony order as a guest, but it sounds like your ceremony might be short? That doesn’t really matter, though.

I originally wanted fans but they wouldn’t really fit with our church/indoor ceremony. 🙂
