    Neither. Maybe donuts or cinnabun

An ice cream truck sounds like it would add an element of fun as well so I voted for that.

Mini desserts. You will have more chance of their being something that everyone likes that way.

I have to be honest, the last wedding I was at was an over the top affair with food for days.  By the time the cake and dessert came out, I was so “shot” from eating everything else that was served to me that it didn’t matter if I had one, both or none at all.

Yes, I know I could have paced myself, but I had no idea all htese courses would be coming out!

I’m an ice cream junkie, so I voted that.  It’s also usually pretty universally pleasing.  It would depend on what the mini desserts were as well.

Elcey:  I vote mini desserts for two reasons. 1) I know too many lactose intolerant people (bless them. I could never go without dairy) and 2) If I’m in a nice dress, the last thing I want to worry about ic ice cream dripping on me. I am one of those people that, no matter how many safeguards are put in place, I WILL get ice cream on me. Especially if it’s warm outside. Both do sound lovely though!

I voted mini desserts for the same reason — ice cream is tasy, but potentially messy if I’m all dressed up. Plus, I’d probably prefer a mini-dessert — there’s more variety that way!

Elcey:  I’d go with mini desserts. 🙂 I love dessert and have a huge sweet tooth, so lots to choose from would be awesome! Plus, I assume cookies and brownies would be an opinion and I love those!  Ice cream is yummy too, but not my favorite. I like more complicated flavors (like birthday cake, pumpkin, candy cane, B&Js Phish Food, etc). I don’t get much out of plain vanilla, chocolate or strawberry. Plus it might be messy, especially if the wedding is outside when it’s hot. That’s just my opinion though 🙂 I much prefer ice cream for places like the beach, amusement parks, or 4th of July, so my vote would be mini desserts for a wedding.

    Elcey:

I have been thinking about doing a pie bar we have an adorable local pie bakery near us who does all kinds of cute stuff: traditional pies, pie pops, and mason jar pies

Def mini desserts! While I do love a good ice cream cone I am sensitive to lactose so I can’t be out and about in case it doesn’t agree with me. It’s also messy and drippy, I WILL end up sticky and with a spot on my dress no matter how careful I am. Plus, ice cream is time sensitve, desserts you can set out and let people eat as they please or even take home any leftovers, ice cream has to be eaten right away.

Mini desserts is the way to go here, especially if you tried them and love them. Ice cream sounds lovely and novel and fun, but also messy and limiting if you’re lactose-intolerant. Although to be honest, you can’t make a bad decision either way. We did a late-night “milk and cookies” table 🙂
