@Nicoso:  Either jeans and a tee shirt (or tank) or a summery flowy dress.

I would wear probably a knee length casual dress with some nice sandals or flats.  I would expect men to wear slacks and maybe a short sleeve button up shirt.

hmmmm… i think i would wear a sundress and some heels, or sandals. my Fiance would wear khakis and a polo or something. maybe shorts (khaki ones) if it was super hot a humid.

I might just call you or someone close to th ewedding plans to clarify. but i normally would never dressd down any more than a sundress unless the invite speicifed to wear shorts and a tank or a bathing suit, or it was an at-home BBQ with the wording you mentioned. or the invite was clearly rustic-themed or something that would further clarify the dress description

hahha I made that really confusing, i know – sorry!

Sundress and Darling Husband would wear khakis. I would never wear jeans no matter how casual unless it was asked by the couple.

Sundress and my guy to wear a button up with khakis, or a polo.

Bright, non-red sundress (fingertip length or longer) with a bolero if it is a spaghetti-strap dress, cute wedges or fancy gladiators. Hair down in loose curls or a side braid. Non-glitzy jewellery, probably beaded/really bright pieces.

Fi would wear slacks in khaki or taupe, NEVER shorts, NEVER jeans, NEVER cargo anything. Undershirt and casual button up (bright color, no cuff links), in short sleeves. Boat shoes or a brown loafer.

If someone told me what to wear on an invitation I’d wear the exact opposite.

Ok, I’m kidding, but you should not put attire information on your invitation unless it is a black tie or white tie event.  That is the only case.  People will know how to dress themselves based on the formality of the invitation, or ask.  You can’t tell guests how to dress.
