Um, I adore that dress!  Definitely try it on and see how it looks!!  It would be a cute rehearsal dinner dress too.  And I don’t think y ou should be worried about the color not being a wedding color or being used in your house…it’ll just pop more, right?  Good luck!  I can’t wait to see them!

Huge fan of purple!  My heels for the wedding are purple!  I think white dresses are adorable for showers…I just bought one myself ๐Ÿ™‚

My white dress is strapless and has crinoline underneath to make it pouf, and leaf shapes at the bottom of the skirt that are a little see-through.  Dillard’s had a 40% off sale this weekend ๐Ÿ™‚  I tried to find a pic but I can’t find it …

My Fiance was surprisingly okay with purple…he even agreed to wear purple socks so we can get some photos with matching footwear!

I am in love with those blue shoes from Sex and the City…but I had to have those or nothing! ๐Ÿ˜‰

I tend to lean more towards casual attire for e-pics, but that is personal preference. I just really like the relaxed and natural feel it has when you don’t look like you tried TOO hard. So I LOVE your first idea of using your wedding colors in your outfits, sounds great! Would be great on STD’s and such too!

I love the white dress, but I think I would save it for a shower if I were you.

That dress is so cute! I’m light and blonde, so I would be worried about the washing out as well. Maybe take a picture and see in it? Also, that last pic of the couple is adorable. I really like their casual classic outfits.

I’m wearing the yellow heels that I will be wearing for my engagement pictures. They are like mary janes, but heel form. Lol. And they are super comfortable and I couldn’t imagine buying a pair that I won’t be comfortable in!

They look kind of like this:

And my dress is a sort of 1950’s looking dress, that is white with small navy dots on it. Super cute. I actually squealed when I found it. My Fiance walked away ashamed. Ahaha

Another thing to consider, I would not wear a dress that I plan to wear to another wedding-related event (shower, rehearsal dinner) for engagement pics. I am planning on putting an e-pic on STD’s, and since most of my family is Out of Town, there are some people I may not see until the bridal shower, rehearsal dinner, etc. So if the last time they “saw” me is in my e-pic, I don’t want to be wearing the same exact outfit when I see them in person! It will make the outfit less “wow” on the day of said event because they have already seen it!

But, that’s just me. I hadn’t thought of it until I suggested wearing my shower dress to e-pics, and my mom pointed this out, and I thought it was a very good point!

I would do both! You can do some pictures with you dressed up in the dress (I love the dress btw…I’d def add a colored cardigan to give you that pop of color) and then change into more casual attire like the picture that you included! I also love the dress because it’s definitely something you can use for other wedding related events! I know that’s what I would do ๐Ÿ™‚

I really love that dress. I wore a dress for one of my outfits for e-pics. The only thing…make sure it’s long enough so you can move around, pose, jump, etc without worrying about your goods showing!
