I am totally dreading this decision. I basically bailed on my bridesmaids and asked them to please find a yellow dress, above the knee, and wear wedges or flats.
We are having an October wedding in Oklahoma, so it is completely possible that it will still be a little warm around that time of year.
I really want the groom and his men to be as comfortable as possible but still coordinate with the overall look and feel of the wedding. (I don’t want to be the only one that looks fancy.) So… my groom is for sure wearing some fancy boots.
I was thinking khaki pants, white shirt… but this almost sounds too plain. Even dark colored jeans and a nice shirt would probably work but I can’t seem to picture the whole image.
Have any suggestions or photos?? Please send them my way! Also, we are getting married at an old homestead, called the Harn Homestead.

The groom and groomsmen could wear a vest with the khaki pants. Maybe have the groom wear a different vest. A shirt and tie will make it look dressed up for a wedding, but the guys will still be very comfortable.
Here the groom wears the vest and the groomsmen have suspenders
No one would ever say this doesn’t look good!

If you’re worried about being the only fancy one, then definitely don’t have them wear jeans. What about mix-and-match pants, white shirts, and vests? Like this photo

I really like the idea of them wearing vests! Have you girls found a decent priced vest?
So, this would not be something we would have to rent, right. And I could just tell the other guys to find something similar?

It depends on how much control you want over their look. If you don’t mind mismatching, tell them a brown vest. If you want a more cohesive look, you could give them a link to what you would like them to purchase.
Here’s a reasonably priced vest:
J C Penney also has this vest for $29
http://www.express.com has this charcoal colored cotton canvas vest that would also look good
