I am stressing about what to wear over my dress. Wedding is NYE – and my dress is spaghetti straps. So what do I wear as a coat? I have a full length sheared choc mink (please no lectures about dead animals…) will that look okay? Or should I go for a white fur wrap of some kind? Or other ideas?

I think white fur would be pretty for a December wedding. Remember when Phoebe got married on “Friends”? I can’t remember exactly what she wore, but it was snowing and she was beautiful. You could look it up for inspiration. I think it would also be pretty to find some kind of wrap or elegant cropped red jacket of some sort in a bright color like red.

Is this just for outside? Fur/faux fur stoles look pretty with wedding gowns. I also love the look of a long white wedding coat, like the one Kate Hudson wore for her wedding to Chris Robinson.
Or you could get a cashmere cardi/shrug for inside.

I think the chocolate colored fur would be lovely if it works with your dress (photos?). What are your other colors (i.e. what will the groom be wearing, flowers, etc)? If you’re going to be doing outdoor pictures in the coat, you’ll want to factor that in when making a decision.

Love the fake fur stole idea ($$ rather than $$$$$). White shoulder wrap? I guess it depends on how long you’ll be wearing it as to what length and warmth you’ll want or need.

I am wearing a white faux fur wrap. I saw some on etsy in the past. I am borrowing one from a cousin (I guess this is my something borrowed).

@Goldilocks1107: Not taking outdoor pictures- our wedding is at 5 so it’ll already be dark.
Thanks for the suggestions – I’m going to try the choc fur, and then there’s always Etsy…
