@nyscpa2be:  I would wear a suit but pair it with a fun necklace (not too overwhelming) to make it look fresh and not stuffy.

Can you hydrate your nail beds with vitamin E and buff your nail polish to make them shine? That always goes a long way.

What shoes do you plan on wearing

SUIT DEFINITELY.

nice blouse.

Make sure it’s modest (no cleavage)

Keep it simple. now is not the time to rock out any fashion forward trendy stuff.

@nyscpa2be:  just make sure you are wearing pants if it’s black boots. the few times i’ve made that mistake i was critized by a very honest colleage for looking a little trashy! yikes haha

@nyscpa2be:  Yes! Regular lotion is good. Never under estimate smooth hands at an interview! I know it sounds weird and creepy but you are shaking people’s hands and handing them resumes, explaining things with your hands.

I second the pants/boot combo!

Good luck!

@nyscpa2be:  Based on the type of work, I would rec you go more conservative.  Full suit with minimal accessories.  Always more respectful to dress up rather than down.  Don’t look too glamorous or girly but don’t look too stuffy since it sounds like it might be a somewhat casual office.

Flashy accessories are a no go in the accounting field. Wear a black suit with a muted shirt. If your nail polish is chipped then remove it. Nothing ruins a polished look like chipped nail polish and scuffed shoes. Good luck on your interview!

@nyscpa2be:

the small pearls DEFINITELY.

I used to be a manager at a Big4 and conducted quite a number of interviews so if you have any interview questions just PM me.

Good Luck!!!!

@nyscpa2be:  If I were you, I’d take the time to soak off the nail polish. That much growth looks really sloppy.

always a suit. little to no accessories. I’m sure you’re nails are fine as is.  Good luck!
