I love my spanx for this reason.  I don’t have to wear them with some dresses, but I still do just beacuse of the thigh sticking reason (TMI!)

Haven’t gotten married yet, but I read a tip on the bee to spray aerosol deodorant/antiperspirant on your legs under the dress! I plan to try it for my wedding!

I definitely have this fear too! I’m a curvier gal and between the summer heat, the weight of my dress, the million layers of crinoline, and my nerves I’m sure I’m going to be a sweaty mess.

I got a pair of Spanx shorts to wear that go down to just above my knee and up to just under my bra. I plan on baby powdering  it to keep me cool and dry. Will also keep some baby powder in my bag in case I need to freshen up. Will also use Clinical strength deodarant on my underarms. Hoping it works and that my venue has the AC cranking!

I wore a small hoop skirt.  Not only did it make my dress hang and photograph nicely, but the added benefit was it kept the dress from bunch around my legs.  My legs stayed much cooler!

I know this might sound extreme, but if you perspire heavily the doctor will prescribe you something to stop this…be warned though it completely dries you out…. I don’t know if lack of sweat is worth cotton mouth all day!

Try mitchim spray deodrant that is amazing…you could spray some in between your legs too.

I plan to get a spray antiperspirant like Suave/Degree and put that on before I put on my spanx.  The reason I am wearing spanx is because I do like my thighs rubbing against one other skin to skin.  It causes irration to my skin

Just trying on the dresses in the shop I had to keep wiping my thighs/legs because I was getting so hot and my skin was getting itchy that easily (it’s worse when I shave).

I’m worried about baby powder because it seems messy

What about applying deodorant there?

Whenever I think I’m going to sweat a lot (like under my boobs in a tight dress) I put deodorant there and it blocks the pores from sweating. I’ve never had thigh sweat though?

That’s definitely why I wore spanx, but if I hadn’t, I would’ve been putitng powder between my thighs regularly all night long. I would’ve hated having to go the bathroom over and over to do that. I think the Spanx are a must.

You can also get Med e Tate wipes or similar and wipe the area to block sweating.

I would do baby powder and spanx (or other brand of something similar, just somethign comfortable!).  I say baby powder instead of a spray or deodorant because sometimes though can irritate other areas of the body, especially if it accidentally gets a little too high on the inner thighs.

I vote for shorts of some kind! They don’t necessarily need to be super tight like some Spanx can be (if you don’t need smoothing in your dress) but something that will cover your thigh area and stay in place and be comfortable. Tight Spanx make me uncomfortable after a couple hours of wear so I have an old pair of dance pants that are elastic but fairly loose. I cut them off several inches above the knee and I use them under all sorts of dresses. And definately try it out before wedding day to make sure they are comfortable long term and to make sure they don’t ride up too much while dancing.

There’s a clinical deoderant called Drysol you can get over the counter at pharmacies here in Canada. You put it on the night before and wash it off in the morning. It basically fuses your sweat glands together, so it keeps you dry.

I wore (and wear on a regular basis) those slips that are shorts! I hate my chub run and cannot stand that sweaty feeling. I got mine at Kohls.

oh man, I hadn’t even thought of this…I don’t usually sweat, but seems like it could  be an issue if the weather is hot and you aren’t wearing the most airiest dress..for example a restricting mermaid dress. I was just going to wear a blue thong and my corset. I def dont’ want to wear spanx as they just make me feel like a sausage in casing. The deoderant idea sounds clever though.
