@JenGirl:  I want to wear shorts but not tight spanx-like ones (my dress already has a built in corset that more than does the job shape-wise.)  Any suggestions for good brands and/or places to get these kinds of shorts?

Spray Talc

The only place I’ve been able to find it is from adult novelty party people (slumber parties/passion parties, etc.). It’s often sold as “silky sheets” but is also good for use on the body.

It will keep you dry and prevent chaffing.

I don’t think anything could have kept me from sweating buckets under my dress for my July wedding, haha. But I agree, the spanx and/or deoderant ideas are probably your best bet.

Certain Dri STOPS sweating where it’s applied. It’s AMAZING. I’ve always been a very heavy sweater, but Certain Dri stops it where I put it on.

@kafir:  Careful though. If you have sensitive skin it can cause a chemical burn.  Good idea though, I might try it .

Thanks for posting this cause I hadn’t even thought about the fact that I will want to be choosy about my undies! It will be probably 85 degrees for our outdoor wedding. For me, any type of lace or mesh gets extremely uncomfortable if I’m sweating and starts to stick so wear cotton or something sweat wicking/breathable and soft. Hmm.. now that I”m thinking further, I don’t want to be picking any type of wedgie all day either, which when I snow ski I always end up doing. I started wearing boy shorts to ski and I NEVER have to pick them out of either “end” so maybe I will do that, and maybe everyone else should too! 😉

Glad I read this! Got me thinking!

Really? I have sensitive skin but it’s never bothered me. It’s only bothered me once and that’s because I applied it immediately after shaving under my arms.

I’m going to see if we can put a fan under our sweetheart table and have it blow up my dress (if this can be done without anyone noticing). I’m going to cover my legs in deodorant as well. Our wedding is in October, so hopefully it’ll be pretty cool that evening. I’ve tried wearing spanx before but feel like they roll down on me and that I’m constantly pulling the up, so it’s not worth the hassle. I might try and get some of that stuff runners use to prevent chaffing and see if that helps.
