I have an issue that right now seems to be huge although I know in a few months I’ll probably (or hopefully anyways) look back at this and laugh.
My wedding dress is a fit and flare, illusion back, sweetheart dress that I was told required no bra. The first time I went dress shopping I was wearing a normal bra since I just ran out of time to look for a strapless one. It felt fine with just my bra, but since it’s an illusion back, the bra showed. I just recently went to my seamstress and decided to try my dress on without a bra. It definetely does not offer enough support.
I see there’s a lot of options online, from sticky bras, to longline bra’s… I guess I’m just having a hard time deciding what would work best for me. I’m a bigger girl and wear a 38C bra size… I just ordered a longline bra with a low back and boning…I’m worried it will show through on my dress, though. Would stitching it on to my wedding dress be an option? What about just sewing in cups? I’m just worried just that won’t provide enough support…Also, can boning be removed from a longline bra? I’m worried about that because the last time’s I’ve worn one the boning is usually pretty uncomfortable.
Any thoughts and advice will help.
