What about some cute boy cut panties? Or just some pretty bikini cut? I didn’t really care as it were my sisters helping me in and out of the dresses.

Don’t go with a thong.

Just regular panties will be fine, and if you don’t have the right bra those places have TONS.

Are you going with anyone other than just you?

@shrubfish09:  I wore white satin VS cheekies so they covered my butt!!  Whatever you’re comfortable in in front of another person!

I bought a set of nude coloured unders with plenty of downstairs coverage. Did the job.

I wore full butt nude colored undies & a strapless bra.  I mean, they weren’t granny panties or anything, but definitely something that wouldn’t show polka dots through a white dress or anything.

I tried on dresses wearing nude Spanx mid-thigh shapers and no bra, since I figured that’s what I would most likely be wearing on my wedding day.  I had brought a strapless bra, but the consultant said dresses will fit better without a bra (and I’m a 34F!)

I went to Marshals and got a Black Calvin Klein Strapless bra & a pair of nude shapeware shorts that went Mid-thigh to right under my bust for tummy and butt support. They were by Izod and heels which were around the hight I want

If you’re on a budget, Target is a good place to look.  I just bought a nude colored bikini for $5 which I’m using for my shopping trips.  Also, a skin-colored convertible bra is good to have in general, but especially useful for dress shopping.

@shrubfish09:  I wore Spanx and a strapless bra. The Spanx were perfect and helped the dresses slide on and off with ease. Don’t wear a bra with straps, you won’t get the full effect of the dress.

I wore tight yoga pants, haha. I knew I wasn’t planning on a tight fitting dress so I wasn’t worried about that. It worked out great.

Shapewear (or nude seamless undies) and a strapless bra. For most dresses you don’t need a bra anyway, they usually have sewn-in cups or boning.

I wore some boyshorts and just a normal bra. My goal was to get a dress that I didn’t have to wear a bra with (a tall order with my measurements…), so I just took it off when we were trying on dresses so I could actually tell which ones that would be possible with. I know lots of girls wear strapless bras though.

@shrubfish09:  Every place that I went had strapless bras for you to use if you didn’t wear your own.  If you wear your own you won’t have to worry about changing that there.  As far as underwear goes, I agree with some PP’s – just go with some boyshorts or bikin cuts.  And if you’re going with your mom and Maid/Matron of Honor they’ll be the ones helping you in and out of things, so I wouldn’t worry too much.
