@AndysCraftsNmore:  You don’t neccesarily have to remind her of the fact that she can’t cook. Although it is cute… Maybe write a poem on the inside. Something like these??

A Happy Home Recipe

4 cups of love
2 cups of loyalty
3 cups of forgiveness
1 cup of friendshop
5 spoons of hope
2 spoons of tenderness
4 quarts of faith
1 barrel of laughter

Take love and loyalty, mix it thouroughly with faith. Blend in tenderness, kindness and hope. Sprinkle abundantly with laughter. Bake with sunshine. Serve daily in generous helpings.

Recipe for a Happy Marriage

Start with two stable people, 1lb. of love and a gallon of commitment. Then add 1 cup of patience. Mix well and remove any traces of temper, selfishness, and criticism. Now add 3 tbsp. pure extract of sincere apology, 1 cup of cooperation, 1 cup of encouragement, and 1 cup of consideration.
Place in a home. Make sure to allow room for children and pets.
Season lightly with a dash of in-laws. Sweeten with memories, shared activities, laughter and tokens of affection.
Serve with faith and devotion and enjoy!

@AndysCraftsNmore: I think @Sweetescape1976: has presented some really nice alternatives, no need to rub in the fact that she can’t cook!

If you don’t feel like a poem, could you simply write something like “For X, something I hope your and FI will be able to enjoy together!”.
