(Closed) What travel agency did you use?

We used Curise Ship Centres even though our Destination Wedding is on land not a cruise. My Maid/Matron of Honor is also our travel agent. She got us a few extra perks but her hands were tied in the pricing department becaue the rates come from the supplies(sunwing, westjet etc).

Our wedding is in June, so not peak season and we locked in rates at $1538 per person for the week(all inclusive, flights, transfers and taxes in). Thats at a 4.5 star resort in the Mayan Riviera

Destinationweddings.com is great.

You pay an upfront deposit of $50 (which goes towards your final price) and then start working with a planner that specializes in whichever area you choose.

I had a great experience with them and am getting married in 7 days in Maui!

@amanda2:  We are using a travel agent through romantictravel.com and going from edmonton to cancun the second week of Jan. Our package is just over $2000 a person after all the taxes, but there were definintely some that were a bit more inexpensive when we were deciding on a venue. I did find that the cost of doing the wedding at the less expensive venues was more when I priced it out though if that makes sense.

We used destinationweddings.com as well. I know some people had mixed experiences with them but ours was great. And it only cost $50!
