I recently traded in my 2010 Honda Pilot for a 2016 Chevy Tahoe. I loooooved my Pilot, but I’m really loving my tahoe. I’ve always preferred larger vehicles. Both of them had/have tons of room for STUFF ( or kids or dogs, etc) and handle great in any weather. Gas mileage is not the best, but my tahoe has so many fun ‘toys’ that it’s worth it haha!

LAlovergirl : I drive a Toyota Prius and I LOVE it. It’s safe, cute, fuel efficient, good in the snow, and super spacious. I’ve moved a stove, a sofa, an 8′ butcher block counter (I even closed the hatch for that one) and all manner of things that would ordinarily call for a truck.
It’s 13 years old, 160,000 miles and hasn’t needed any repairs. Fiance has a newer Prius and has also had no issues. We bought them used.

I have a 2016 Honda Civic. If you want excellent gas mileage check them out. I’m getting approx 35 or 36 Mph and and drive the LA streets and freeways like you. The car buying process was super easy once I finally decided what I wanted. I priced out two places but ended up using my friend David who is a car broker in Pasadena. I got a seriously good deal and love the car. I have a sedan but the hatchbacks which recently came out are so cute!!!

2009 Kia Spectra EX.
It serves my purposes. Casual driving. Decent gas mileage. Safe. When I get a new car, I’ll be moving to a Crossover (likely a Subaru Forester) for the added storage space.

I drive a Mercedes E350 4matic. It handles like a dream. VERY sure-footed in rain and snow. It has been very reliable, needing next to nothing during its routine checkups, and it’s a pleasure to drive. While I realize much of it is engineered, when I compare the handling of a Mercedes to that of a BMW, the Mercedes has always felt more solid. Some people definitely prefer the handling of the BMWs, but I prefer the more solid feel of the Mercedes. Cadillacs feel more luxurious in the ride, but less solid in the handling for me (again, likely engineered and not necessarily real). It is likely I’ll never drive anything but Mercedes anymore.

I have a 2016 Acura RDX. I just got it in November but so far I’m loving it!! I previously had a 2007 Honda CR-V which was in an accident and the damage was too much. I then got a 2010 Honda CR-V (again!) and loved it. I only got rid of it because it started to have some engine issues….otherwise I would have kept it. But I loooooove my Acura…..very similar to the Honda but mroe luxurious

slomotion : i LOVED my patriot, a lady fell asleep while driving and hit my parked Jeep. I was devastated I loved it so much. She pushed my car into my Fiance car, and his car only came out with a scratch from my license plate screws, the jeep took all the rest of the damage. Now I have a Kia Forte, I needed something small and good on gas mileage since I’m a college student and drive a ton! But I want another jeep one day.
