(Closed) What type of band do you think will look the best with my ring? I’m confused!

I don’t think you would create a “thick band” look if you go with the matching band because the bands are pretty thin to begin with.  I prefer a matchy-matchy look but I may be in the minority.

Your ring is one of my FAVORITE’S on the Bee, if I had it to do over, I’d get something just like yours!!  That being said, it’s such a classic look, I don’t think you could possibly go wrong with any band.  Have you thought about a diamond band with milgrain edges?  It’s different enough but would still match?  Or maybe an etoile / gypsy band?  It’s less blingy than a pave band, but slightly more blingy than a plain band (which would also look lovely).

Honestly though, I bet it wouldn’t look like a thick band because of how your ring is set…I only really see that look happen with halos and matching bands (sometimes, like mine).  Here’s my attempt at pics, all from Blue Nile.

Milgrain / detailed edges:

Etoile / Gypsy set ring (this one has haphazard set diamonds, but they make them in single rows too)

Or maybe even something like this, that’s different than your engagement ring enough to stand out?

Let us know what you pick, and take pictures!!!  Smile

One of my coworkers has an e-ring similar to yours, and the matching band like the one you originally picked.  The way her rings fit her, they are sort of loose, so you can tell they are two different rings, and the bands are both thin enough that it wouldn’t be too thick, anyway.  I think shopping around is a great idea, and it will help you see how different bands look on your hand and how they complement your ring.  Have fun!

@AshleyR83:  I love your suggestions.

I would go with something similar to the second ring AshleyR83 suggested, or choose something with color like the first ring on her post.
