Eh, I voted for “other”. We’ll probably have 2 types of cake (fruit and vanilla sponge) but we might be serving little mini cheesecakes as part of our canapés as well – we haven’t quite nailed down our menu yet!

    We’re having some different things:

    • an (italian) ice-cream bar with different ice-cream flavors
    • a selection of different fresh fruits (served on a mirror, which I hope will look gorgous)
    • some cakes/pies

We don’t have it finalized yet, but I’m hoping for an array of different desserts!

I thought about doing something different, but since I decorate cakes for a living I feel like I just have to have cake…so cake it is! Although my favors may be so other type of dessert, chocolates or cake balls or something.

We’re doing cake/cupcakes, but our venue also provides a dessert course, so that will be either some sort of fruit tart or chocolate pudding. Our favors will be some sort of dessert food–maybe cookies or truffles. Then I also want to do a candy buffet…but maybe that would be sweets overload!

In my dreams, we’d be able to do a whole variety, but I don’t think we’ll be able to afford that. A cake is included in our caterer’s package, so I think we’ll just go with that.

We are having a dessert that comes with the meal a mousse brownie type thing! And we are having wedding cake and will be serving it as the late night snack!

Chose other.  Fiance and I couldn’t care less about cake and didn’t particularly want everyone staring at us while we feed each other, so we just went with a variety of little mini deserts served buffet style.  It was a million times cheaper than any other option and goes well with our little luncheon reception.

We had only wedding cake at our reception.  It’s not that traditional within my family/friends to have more desserts in addition to the wedding cake.  I’ve actually only read about weddings that have more dessert options.  As much as I like cake, I would also like other dessert options, especially after seeing how many fabulous options other Bees have had!

We’re doing cake because we both loooooove cake and we’ll also have bowls of summer berries and sabayon to accompany it. It’s going to be in the dead heat of summer so I didn’t want to set out a bunch of things that would a) melt or b) make everyone feel too heavy in the heat. We may also give out miniature whoopie pies (I’m from New England, he’s from PA, so it’s a shared local treat!) as favors but I have to figure out how to make filling that won’t spoil in the heat

We’re doing red velvet cake and we’re also having a Smores bar outside. My Fiance freaked out when he saw that the caterer had that as an option. I’ve never met a person who loves Smores more than my man.
