What type of dress did you wear to your bachelorette and rehearsal dinner ? Also where did you purchase the dresses? I am trying to figure out where to go to look. I am around a size 8 and the bachelorette will be at a dance club and the rehearsal dinner is at a nice restaurant. Any advice please. I feel like stressed out. It seems like there is pressure on every event to look perfect.

weddinggirl2009 : not married uet, but I’m attending a Bachelorette party very soon and the bride to be found a super cute black dress with a hint of sparkle from Charlotte russe. My outfit for her party also came from there!
ETA: her party is also at a dance club.

weddinggirl2009 : dress? What? Haha I wore blue jeans and a nice top to the rehearsal. Didn’t have a bachelorette but wouldn’t have worn a dress for that either. Why not dress as you typically would for a night on the town? I don’t think it’s anything to stress over.

I didn’t have a bachelorette.
I wore a long, informal dress (bought off the rack at a bridal boutique)to my rehearsal dinner – not white. I’m pale and the only white dress I’ve ever owned, in my life, was my wedding gown.

I wore this dress to my bachelorette party, I was going to wear white but I wasn’t crazy about the white dress I had and my sister had this delived from rent the runway and decided not to wear it, it fit me great so I said what the heck! It showed a bit more cleavage then I’m used to but that was part of the fun!
I’m planning on wearing this white dress for my rehersal dinner, $25 on Amazon!

For your bachelorette, a jumpsuit could be an option, if you feel it would be flattering.
From Boutique 1861:
For your rehearsal dinner, if you’d consider a somewhat different option, At Mayfair has interesting alternatives:
If you prefer more traditional styles, ModCloth is a good choice:

I wore the blush tulle skirt below in my engagement pics, and to get more use out of it I think I want to pair it with a rose gold sequin bodysuit for my bachelorette party. Not white but “light,” I guess? Not sure yet for the rehearsal dinner!
Some bees have mentioned that you should just wear what you like and what makes you feel like yourself. For me, that’s tulle, sequins and avoiding any pants of any kind. For some, that’s something else entirely. Do you, girlfriend!
(BUT I’d look at Rent the Runway, ASOS, Lulu’s and White Fox Boutique for cute dresses)

I’m having an outdoorsy bachelorette and my “rehearsal” is a BBQ at my venue the night before, so I’m planning on shorts and a top or a cute romper, nothing fancy 🙂

I wore a short, white, long-sleeve wrap dress my bachelorette party with gold, sparkly high heels. For our rehearsal dinner, I wore a white, lace, long-sleeve dress with nude heels. Both events were in the winter months, so long sleeves in Minnesota were a must! I loved wearing white to both events — I felt like such a bride!

I wore a Champagne sequined dress to my bachelorette party and to teh RH I wore a skirt with Navy flowers and a white shirt with flats. I was very comfortable. Just pick something you feel confident in.

Bach: mainly a bathing suit. We do a girls’ trip down to the usvi every year. When friends asked about bach, I told them I really didn’t want one and we could just have a drink to celebrate while on island time.
Rehearsal: My wedding dress isn’t white as for some reason the white dresses looked so odd on me. I wear white tops, dresses, skirts, pants alllll the time, so that was a bit shocking. So, I’m thinking white for rehearsal. I have a 3/4 sleeve white lace dress but I really want to find this in my size. I tried it on in blue and I’m a bit obsessed:

weddinggirl2009 : I would recommend going to Francesca’s because the girls in there actually help unlike some stores where the service is bad. When you walk in, let them know you would like a rehearsal dinner and also a batch look. Let them suggest accessories, shoes..etc. Here is what I am going to wear to my engagement party my Future Mother-In-Law is throwing us this summer. I am going to wear fun earrings and a necklace. Also the second link is a dress from Nordie’s. I bought it in a few colors. Look at the ratings. Its a great basic maxi you can dress up.
