Check Lulu’s! They have a nice range of casual and more traditional looking wedding dresses, especially beach-friendly.
I got my dress off the rack at David’s bridal. It was like 70% off!
We’re going to be having an intimate wedding with 11 people including ourselves in Colorado next year and I was originally going to buy my dress From Lulu’s, but then I went to a bridal boutique with my mom and tried on some wedding dresses and decided to buy a wedd g gown. I didn’t purchase mine at the boutique, but I did purchase it from JJ’s House and used my custom measurements. Currently waiting for it to ship.
Man, this is my kind of feed!(: I originally started planning a traditional wedding but quickly realized it didn’t feel “right”. I still have no idea where to find a dress but it seems that bridal shops carry a wide variety of options. Also, I had no idea I should already be looking… eek! I may not have a ton of info on dresses yet but if you want any info on eloping in Hawaii I’ve done a ton of research already! Just message me if you’d like some of it!
I have ordered this non-traditional dress to try on. I hope it is perfect because I love it and didn’t want to spend a lot on a dress. We will have a small wedding of between 15 and 20 and it will be a ceremony in a castle chapel followed by an apero and boat trip on the lake at said castle and a dinner. I’m afraid it looks tacky but it is more “me” than any expensive dress I have looked at.
We’re flying cross country to elope in January. We are doing the actual ceremony at the courthouse so I just ordered a few different cheap dresses from Amazon to try on and fell in love with this one…I felt so bridal in it and it’s just $40!
Afterwards we are getting professional photos taken by the ocean. For this I have borrowed my sister’s wedding dress which I love, it’s lace top and tulle bottom (long). Everyone thinks we’re going to the courthouse where we live sometime next year so that’s how I was able to get the dress without anyone knowing about our trip 🙂 She actually offered it to me before we even booked the trip.
We eloped to Santorini after a small civil ceremony back at home to sort out the legal part, and that worked out really well for us! I wore a simple but more traditional dress I got for $100 from etsy for the family ceremony, and a non-wedding dress from Alice McCall for the elopement. I loved getting the best of both worlds with the dresses, having something classic and bride-y, as well as something a bit more me and unusual for our private vows!
We had a small ish 50 guest indoor/outdoor restaurant brunch wedding. I started looking six months in advance, wasted about five trying on bridal shop dresses I didn’t care for and ended up with these from Lulu’s for ceremony and reception. $94 and $59. Simple, lightweight, soft material and good quality.
I wanted a vintage dress so I looked on Etsy and Ebay and found tons amazing options! I just asked the sellers for the measurements of the dresses that I was interested in (when they weren’t posted) and ended up finding a perfect dress in my size SO CHEAP. I even saw some awesome dresses in my area on OfferUp that I could have tried on in person. Good luck and enjoy the search!
I ordered from Lulu’s as well. This is the True Love White Beaded Rhinestone Maxi Dress. Eloping with 15 guests.
