I like Eyeko Fat Liquid Eyeliner. If you’re going to go the liquid route, I’d recommend a felt tip marker/pen style as it’s the easiest to control (at least for me!).

I only use eyeliner on my upper lash line and always do a winged line, no smudge just a clean black line. For this Sensai liquid refillable eyeliner is the easiest ever to use, it’s a doddle, even with eyelash extensions. For a more intense look I use Chanel liquid eyeliner as it goes on more heavily pigmented (not compatible with extensions). Both these have an ultra fine tip so you can build up your line little by little. A cotton bud or several at the ready for minor mistakes is a must, I just wet the cotton tip with my tongue to make corrections but obviously you can just dab some water on them too.

You can always do your base line in pencil then trace/fill with liquid. That’s the best way to practice and still get your pigmented eyeliner look you want. NYX liquid liner is great for a true matte black. Kat von d liquid liner will stay on and that black is like a shiny leather black.. really cool. Mac fluidline will stay on past rubbing and water. You can literally rub your eye and it won’t budge.

I wear liner on my top lid only for my daily look. I’m not great with liquid either but find the felt tip pen to be really easy to apply, and longlasting as well. Plus for $3 it’s definitely worth a try! I wear this eyeliner every single day.

When I was still working on my technique, I used to use a brush and a black eyeshadow. It lasts for EVER. I still will use the technique for more daytime looks with a dark shadow.

But I am a die hard Kat Von D Tattoo Liner fan. That stuff does not budge.

I always thought liquid liner was too dark and pencil too light and pretty stiff, so I use gel liner with a liner brush. I like Maybelline’s lasting drama–it’s inexpensive and works well! I buy the black and brown one, but they also have eggplant and apparently there are sparkly colors now, too.

Urban Decay 24/7!! It’s so smooth, I have a few colors, my favorite is “Rockstar” it’s a purplish color which is very flattering on a lot of eye colors and complexions. It looks dark brown from far away.

I’ve tried just about every eyeliner out there because I have super sensitive eyes, and the one that I have found is the best, is also the easiest to work with.  It is everyday minerals eyeliner.  It is really affordable and lasts forever (more than 4X the length a pencil lasts).  You can add water to make it a liquid eyeliner, or use it as is, which is what I normally do (both ways work great though).   I thought a powder would be crazy hard and messy, but it actually is the easiest and most forgiving eyeliner to apply ever.  The colors are all amazing- all dark and deep, which can bring out the color of your eyes without seeming striking.  I have the green one, purple one, dark brown one, and charcoal grey one and I love them all.  I have an Elf precision eyeliner brush (it is 5 bucks and awesome).  You can buy everyday mineral makeup from their website, and I believe some Whole Foods sell it.

Yeah, I guess I’m crazy! I just use a thin angled eye liner brush and whatever eyeshadow I want ot use that day – I’ll wet the brush & it goes on easy & stays put for the most part. My gel shadows work much better obviously, but it’s the only foolproof way I can get a good thick or thin line and a lil wing effect if I want.. But I don’t do eyeliner much, just for special occassions…
