@sunkisthappy:  Here are my before and afters for the lash extensions (they were just taken with my phone so not too high quality but you get the idea…)

This is the before … my right eye (your left) is just my regular old mascara, normal lashes and my left (your right) is my eyelashes au naturel (if you can even see them ha ha).

and these are my lashes with extensions the day after they were done.  They are a little thicker and longer than I usually do them in this picture because the girl that does them and my photographer recommended having a little extra “oomph” since I didn’t want to do crazy eye liner or shadow for our e-pics earlier today.  They have different colors and lengths and can do them more or less thick depending on what you want.  Also, they probably don’t look this crazy dark on people who aren’t as pasty as I am 🙂

I should have my first e-pic in a few days and we’ll see how they actually turned out in the pics but she said they looked great so fingers crossed! (I will post when I get it).

Hope that helps!

I got lash extensions for my e-pics.  They were so amazing.  I used a Groupon to do it at a local salon.

@gallifrey:  You were right! I LOVE them!! Went to a function with tons of “wives” and everybody complimented me…but didn’t know on what, lol. That made me happy – I wanted it to look great, but not obvious!

Took 3 HOURS to do and I found my lady through the Lavish Lashes website — she was awesome and I was totally confident in her skills, knowledge and experience.

My problem now is to find the extra $50/month to do the fill-ins and just keep doing this all the time 🙂

@BluegrassBridetoBee:  I DID have a reaction to them – just a heads up! It may be from the tape, or the glue, or who knows what, but just a consideration! I got them done Saturday, it started yesterday, and today my eyelids are a bit puffy and red still, benedryl is taking care of it, and it should be fine soon — if not, I guess I may have to update my post (hehe).

She did say I’m only the 2nd person she’s ever worked on who had a reaction, but I was VERY glad I did a weeks before the wedding trial, not a day before the wedding thing! I am not concerned about doing it again at all, but will be doing my before wedding appointment a full week beforehand!

@BluegrassBridetoBee:  Thanks! It depends on where you are living but a lot of the salons/spas out here offer lash extensions…. BUT they are way more expensive there than if you can find someone who does it out of their home.  If you go to novalash.com and click on “find a stylist” you can search by state.  All of the people on the website are certified and many work out of their homes which will save you money.

@78science:  I hope your reaction clears up!  My eyes always water for a few minutes after the lashes are done and feel a little dry afterwards but I’ve never had a problem beyond that.  Good luck!

@MapleMoose:  I got mine for my e-pics too.  I’m excited to see them!

@BluegrassBridetoBee:  I talked to the girl that does my lashes abour reactions and she said they generally won’t even try them if you have an adhesive (band-aid) or latex allergy because you are a lot more likely to have a reaction.  After she mentioned it I remember her asking me that when I first got them done a couple years ago.  Don’t know if that helps any but thought I’d share just in case.

@gallifrey:  I’ve never had a reaction to an adhesive or to anything on my skin (well, okay…poisen ivy!!!) before – I think it was just bad luck and there are certainly worse things I could have a reaction to 🙂

I really do LOVE them and while it was mildly irritating today, it definitely hasn’t made me regret getting them and I will be doing it again, just thought I should mention it as a Public Service Announcement…I’m that person that had the “there is a slight risk of….”

@gallifrey:  Those lashes look great…. Do you have any pics with your eyes looking up?

I was thinking of doing eye lash extensions as well…… I am just afraid of them randomly falling out…. Do they shed easily?
